Futura Font Specimen Poster

Design school is a thrilling time of life. You’re just starting to become aware of the typographic, colorful, communicative world around you. The typefaces have names, and the colors have hue, saturation, and value. It’s your first step into a larger world.

My typography professor assigned a font to each of us. We were to craft a font specimen poster that represented the typeface’s personality, features, and style.

Being a modernist at heart, I was delighted to find Futura’s simple, geometric lines staring back at me after unwrapping the folded piece of paper with my assigned font.
