Type Specimen Book

As a designer, I view myself as the director of a theatre. Parts need to be played, and it’s my job to cast the best typefaces for each role. Which typefaces fit the piece? Which fonts fit the headlines and body type?

This, of course, requires knowing the personalities of the typefaces. It’s not really something you can be taught. It comes from spending time with the fonts, listening to their quirks, nuances, specialties. And the more you listen, the more you hear.

I’ve always been enthralled with typography, which is why I’m working to design this type specimen book. So kick back, relax, and enjoy the type.
